AT&T & T-Mobile Galaxy S9 September-Updates bringen Kamera-Nachtmodus

Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ are among the devices that the Korean company will update to the latest One UI 2.0 custom skin based on Android 10.

The company started rolling out the first Android 10 beta build for the Galaxy S10 series in Europe some time ago, but reports are coming out of Korea that the rollout has been delayed for unknown reasons.

A UI 2.0 beta for the US Galaxy S10 is coming soon

When it resumes, those using the Galaxy S10, S10e, and S10+ variants sold through Sprint and T-Mobile will be able to try Android 10 on their devices. The update will also be available for US-unlocked variants, but for AT&T - and Verizon variants is no place.

The Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+ are also missing the first One UI 2.0 beta update, but some sections claim that the duo will join the second One UI 2.0 beta update.

Away from the unknown, there is good news for Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ users at T-Mobile and AT&T. The former recently pushed an update to the two S9 phones with July security patches and missed the August security patches.

In the latest update, T-Mobile has directly skipped the August patch to the newer September patch, and while it's not the last October patch, it brings a really cool feature to the camera: support for the special night mode.

The update has been confirmed to arrive as a version

for S9 and version

G965USQU6CSI2

for the S9+. The update weighs over 772 MB and hardly mentions anything in the official changelog.

While someone from AT&T says the latest update adds a night mode to their Galaxy S9 camera, they didn't share the new software version in question. However, on AT&T's software support page, the latest September update lists software versions

G960USQS6CSH7 (S9)

and

G965USQS6CSH7 (S9+)

.

The Galaxy S9 and S9+ September update on AT&T weighs in

185MB

, which is a fraction of the T-Mo update for the same devices. Admittedly, the latest devices are said to get more improvements and maybe new features compared to the previous models.

AT&T and T-Mobile now join models like Verizon and Sprint with the updated September security patch, in addition to supporting the special night camera mode.
