CES week
and therefore high time for
Samsung
to flood the planet with point-and-shoot cameras to suit every whim, mood and price point. Six new models have been introduced, which we'd like to break down for you as follows:
The WB250F is equipped with an 18x optical zoom, a 14.2 megapixel Backside Illuminated (BSI) CMOS and a 24mm lens.
The WB200F has the same hardware, except that it includes a CCD sensor instead of the CMOS.
The WB800F features a 21x optical zoom and 16.3 megapixel BSI CMOS.
The WB30F has a super slim 17mm body that houses a 10x optical zoom and a 24mm wide-angle lens.
The DV150F WiFi Camera features a 2.7" front-facing LCD (to enhance your self-portrait), a 16.2 megapixel CCD sensor, 5x optical zoom and a 25mm lens.
Rounding out the range is the ST150F, which features a 5x optical zoom, 25mm lens and 16.2 megapixel CCD sensor.
Samsung isn't talking about when the range will hit retail or how much it will cost, but we've reached out for more information and will update you when we do.

Samsung introduces new SMART CAMERAs that allow users to record and share precious moments instantly
The new WB250F/WB200F, WB800F, WB30F, DV150F and ST150F combine optical performance with improved usability
LAS VEGAS, USA – January 7, 2013 – Samsung Electronics Co.,
Ltd, a global leader in digital media and digital convergence technologies, today announced the launch of the updated SMART CAMERA and the first devices to run the new technology: WB250F/WB200F, WB800F, WB30F, DV150F and ST150F series of long-zoom models, the DV series of dual view cameras and the ST series of style feature cameras, the new devices combine high optical performance and classic style with the improved connectivity of the SMART Camera.
Samsung has advanced its innovative Wi-Fi technology to enhance its acclaimed SMART CAMERA, originally announced at CES 2012, by developing SMART CAMERA 2.0. New features and upgrades allow users to capture their beloved photographs instantly and to share, revolutionizing the connectivity camera experience and giving consumers complete control over the entire SMART CAMERA portfolio. The “One Click, Simplify” concept enables connected devices to be connected seamlessly, enabling images to be flawless in one movement via the striking user interface can be shared. Designed for smartphone users, this interface combines touch and large screen capabilities, allowing for faster editing and uploading to other devices and social media sites.
Simplified connectivity for the camera user is a reality when using a Samsung camera with Wi-Fi connectivity. The photographer can now experience a connected world, either through enhanced features or by taking advantage of the wireless benefits of the SMART CAMERA. AutoShare allows images to be simultaneously sent and saved over a Wi-Fi connection directly to a smartphone as soon as the photo is taken with a camera. Designed for busy lifestyles, the feature automatically becomes the default once set up , so backing up and sharing precious memories can be saved in a snap. A streamlined connection has also been built into the external design of SMART CAMERA devices with a standalone Direct Link hotkey that automatically runs on Wi-Fi functionality at the touch of a button. Users can pre-assign their favorite wireless function to the button, e.g uwise to share photographic memories with friends and family anywhere in the world via blazing-fast Wi-Fi connectivity.
The unique Samsung SMART CAMERA App.builds on Samsung's commitment to a connected world and consumers' love of applications for effortless technology experiences.This new feature allows smartphone users to download the application (available on Android and iOS operating system platforms) and connect via a Wi-Fi connection to the pre-installed SMART CAMERA features to edit, share and backup images captured across the range of connected Samsung cameras. The SMART CAMERA app combines three different intelligent elements in one touch.integrates the enhanced capabilities of Remote Viewfinder and Mobile Link, as well as the new AutoShare tool that puts users in control of the connected photographer's journey from start to finish.

Introducing the WB250F
The new flagship camera of the WB long zoom series makes it easy for the user to achieve excellent images with a camera with a stylish and classic design. The WB250F (and WB200F) offers excellent optical performance to capture great photos easily, with 18 -x optical zoom, a 14.2 megapixel BSI CMOS (WB250F) or CCD (WB200F) sensor and a 24mm lens.It has a classic design and features a hybrid touch interface consisting of a touch LCD screen and five-way navigation buttons allow users to manipulate the controls to their liking. For photographers wanting to get the most out of it, a full manual mode option gives complete control over the camera's settings.
To make brilliant photography easier, the new WB cameras also include features like Best Face, which automatically selects the best facial expressions from a burst of shots to create group photos where everyone looks their best, as well as SMART mode and Motion Photo features that it enable users to achieve standard quality and creativity in all conditions. Thanks to additional Wi-Fi functions, users can quickly and easily share high-quality photos. The WB250F is equipped with a pop-up flash and is available in four stylish colors; White , Cobalt Black, Gun Metal and Red.
New models with improved SMART CAMERA
The WB800F is a classic long-zoom camera with 21x optical zoom and a 16.3 megapixel BSI CMOS sensor for excellent low-light photography. This powerful camera is built around a hybrid user interface that allows photographers to to control the camera via the touchscreen or a manual 5-way button. The WB800F will be available in white, cobalt black and red.
The WB30F is the new "mini model" in the series, boasting the capabilities of a WB model, including 10x optical zoom and a 24mm wide-angle lens, in an ultra-slim body that's only 17mm thick. Additional features packed into the slim and stylish Design integrated include Magic Frame and Live Panorama, which provide an enhanced photo experience. The WB30F will be available in Black, White, Red, Purple and Pink colors.
Combining Wi-Fi connectivity with a 2.7-inch front LCD, the DV150F makes it easier than ever to take simple and creative self-portraits. Perfect portraits can be captured with the DV150F's Beauty Palette feature, which allows users to apply one of a range of make-up faces to the subject of a photo to instantly transform portraits. In addition, a range of creative features such as Smart Filter 3.0, Motion Photo and Magic Frame make it easy to create interesting and unique images worth sharing The DV150F, a 16.2 megapixel CCD sensor, a bright 25mm F2.5 lens and a 5x optical zoom deliver superb quality images, which can then be instantly shared over Wi-Fi. Housed in a stylish aluminum body, the DV150F is available in five different colours available including plum, lime green and light pink.
The ST150F completes the range of new SMART CAMERA models.
